Green
Sustainable development has been at the heart of WE LOVE GREEN since its creation. In fact, it is the very purpose of our association, which was set up in 2011: “To develop and promote eco-citizenship and raise awareness of sustainable development, by designing, producing and organising artistic events in the field of live performance”.
The aim of WE LOVE GREEN is to raise public awareness of the issues surrounding sustainable development, in an original context that will arouse people’s curiosity.
See Our politics of sustainable development
At the same time, WE LOVE GREEN is a laboratory for experimenting with and developing eco-responsible solutions, innovations and working methods for the events and live performance sectors.
This work is collective:
- it is deployed in all our processes: charters, general purchasing conditions, contracts, etc.
- it engages all our stakeholders: the public, volunteers, service providers, partners, artists, restaurants and speakers
- it involves all the festival’s teams and departments: management, programming, communications, partnerships, administration, production and, of course, sustainable development.
It is part of a continuous improvement process. Every year, we carry out a number of audits, measurements and assessments that provide us with data and the keys to year-on-year improvement:
- ISO 20121 audit, the international standard for “responsible management systems applied to the event industry”: WE LOVE GREEN was certified ISO 20121 in June 2023.
- Assessments by British NGO A Greener Future
- Carbon footprint with the support of the British NGO A Greener Future
OUR ASSOCIATIONS
Since its start, the festival has partnered with committed organizations, whether they work for the environment or social causes. This is an opportunity to shed light on subjects that are important to us by offering these agents of change valuable visibility, and for some, financial support through your donations. Find these roaming organizations present on Saturday and Sunday in the festival aisles.
Impact Village
A committed festival and laboratory for eco-responsible experiments, WE LOVE GREEN returns with the desire to introduce you to concrete solutions for a more sustainable future.
This year, we’re partnering with La Climate House to co-create the Impact Village, a space dedicated to innovative companies and committed associations. Their mission? To showcase their commitments and actions.
A space to draw inspiration from innovative projects, meet new people… and perhaps spark new projects! 🌱
Co-founded by 8- entrepreneurs, La Climate House is a place located in the heart of the Sentier region, designed to reinvent the economy to support ecological and social transitions.
It boasts a vibrant and engaged community of entrepreneurs, investors, associations, activists, researchers, businesses, scientists, and students — all united by a common ambition: to imagine and build a world that is more respectful of living things.
Impact Scene
The Impact Stage (2:30pm – 7:00pm) will host pitches from committed stakeholders alongside participatory workshops to inspire action.
Entrepreneurship, responsible influence, digital technology, and committed professions … powerful voices will share their visions and tools to transform reality. From influence in an era of ecological emergency to impact of our likes–the circular economy and low-carbon travel–these speakers will show us that another future is possible – and already underway.
