It’s well known that Skepta is one of the spearheads of British grime, a name that immediately evokes radicalism combined with second degree, and five albums, each more effective than the last. His countless featurings with the likes of Kid Cudi, Pop Smoke and Amy Winehouse have put him on the map. What’s less well known is that he began his career as a dj with London’s Meridian Crew. Here he is, returning to his first love, behind the turntables, at the helm of a set that navigates between edgy and exuberant aesthetics, sure of his twenty-five-year career spent clearing the English and then the world stages.
